Trine Møller

Mezzo Soprano


Born in Denmark, Trine attended a specialist music school in Copenhagen from the age of nine, before going on to study singing at the Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen for 4 years under the guidance of Professors Bodil Gümoes and Kirsten Buhl Møller.    She is now in her second year at the London Royal Schools Opera, studying at the Royal Academy of Music with Diane Forlano and Jonathan Papp. Her awards include the Van Hauen Scholarship and The Tony Landy Scholarship in addition to several other Danish scholarships and bursaries.  In 2001 she was a finalist in the Richard Lewis Competition at the Royal Academy of Music.  Masterclasses include Judith Beckman (Hamburg), Ingrid Bjoner, Anthony Rolfe Johnson and Sir Thomas Allen (Britten-Pears School, Aldeburgh).

Trine's operatic roles include Dido (Dido and Aeneas), Veronique (Le Docteur Miracle), and Treodata in Handel's Flavio for the London Handel Society and LRSO.

Trine has given concerts and recitals in many of the important concert halls and theatres in Copenhagen, including a recital of Poulenc's songs in Tivoli's Concerts Hall and several concerts at Den Anden Opera, Denmark's premiere venue for contemporary music. She has also appeared at the Aldeburgh Festival.

Recent appearances include Bach Magnificat and the Vivaldi Gloria and Mozart Requiem in St-Martin-in-the-Fields.
