Javier Borda -

Bass-baritone Javier Borda has recently completed his postgraduate studies in Lied and Opera at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London after studying music at Hochschule fur Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Vienna and History of Art at the University of Navarra. He is a Samling Scholar and has undertaken Masterclasses among others with Graham Johnson, Malcolm Marineau, Dalton Baldwin, Paul Farringdon, Paul Plishka, Robin Bowman and Della Jones. He is currently studying with Rudolf Piernay.

His repertoire covers Lied, Oratorio and Opera from the Baroque Period up to the 20 th Century. He has performed the roles of Figaro, Leporello, Dulcamara, Collatinus, Don Inigo Gomez, Masetto, Angelotti and Bartolo (Le Nozze di Figaro) on stages in Vienna, Salzburg, Mexico, London and New York.

Next season he will perform Fiesco in Simone Boccanegra with Opera Company UK.
