Shuna Sendall - Soprano
Born in Glasgow, Shuna studied at RSAMD, completing her studies at the Alexander Gibson Opera School.
She has won many prestigious prizes and scholarships, including the Great Elm Vocals Award, and was last year’s recipient of the Scottish Wagner Societies Bayreuth Scholarship.
Her concert appearances have included Mozart’s C Minor Mass and Requiem, Verdi’s Requiem, Berlioz Nuits D’ete, Barber’s Knoxville Summer of 1915, Handel’s Messiah, recitals with the RSNO, Tayside Opera and Opera on a Shoestring, a recital of Burn’s songs in Spain, a tour of Welsh music festivals and several performances at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with her changer group ‘ecoute’.
Her operatic roles include Elettra (Idomeneo), Concepcion (L’Heure Espagnole), La Ciesca (Gianni Schicchi) and Mrs Green (Down by the Greenwood Side), all at RSAMD, Medea (The Minotaur) with Scottish Opera and The cock, The Jay and The Innkeeper’s Wife (The Cunning Little Vixen) with British Youth Opera.
Later this year she will be performing the role of Micaela (Carmen) with Haddo House Opera.
