Whether through the medium of national television or radio, major concert hall platforms or playing for small numbers of children, the Kintamarni Saxophone Quartet have captivated audiences with the unique sounds of the saxophone and their own individual style of playing.
Named after a volcanic region in Bali, Kintamarni delivers a dynamic, explosive performance.

Having trained and formed at the Royal Northern College of Music, the group combines their classical roots with influences of jazz and contemporary music to create the most enjoyable of concert experiences. Whether on their own or in collaboration with drums and percussion the quartet's infectious enjoyment in their playing ensures that they always send their audiences home with a smile.

Performance venues include; the Wigmore Hall, the Purcell Room, South Bank Centre, the Church of St. Martin-in-the-Fields and the Bridgewater Hall. where they have been invited to play by organisations such as The Worshipful Company of Musicians, The Tunnell Trust and Yehudi Menuhin's 'Live Music Now!' scheme. and now at Bryn Terfel's Faenol Festival where guests included Jose Carreras and Elaine Page

In addition to their public performances, Kintamarni give educational concerts and workshops for adults and children in which whole communities of all abilities can participate .
